Products Description
The production mode of green silicon carbide micropowder is basically the same as that of black silicon carbide. It is a nonmetallic mineral product produced by using quartz sand, petroleum coke and sodium chloride as basic raw materials at a high temperature above 2000 degrees Celsius. Green silicon carbide is green and translucent, but its transparency varies with its purity because of the different kinds and contents of impurities.
The smelted green silicon carbide has high purity and hardness, but it is more brittle than black silicon carbide. It also has good thermal conductivity and semiconductor characteristics. As an excellent abrasive material, green silicon carbide abrasive has a wide application prospect. For example, green silicon carbide abrasive can process various metal materials, such as steel, stainless steel, steel and copper, and can be used to manufacture various mechanical parts. Green silicon carbide abrasive can also be used for fine processing of ceramic products, such as making high-grade ceramic tableware and ceramic decorations.
The hardness of green silicon carbide abrasive is as high as 9.5, which is more than 20 times that of steel, and it can complete efficient processing of materials with high hardness. Green silicon carbide spherical sand and micropowder are products formed twice by raymond mill, with few edges and corners, good hydrophilicity, high grinding efficiency and long service life. They are usually used to make abrasive tools, such as resin grinding wheels, ultra-thin cutting pieces, marble grinding wheels and diamond grinding discs. In this way, the surface of the processed workpiece is uniform and scratch-free. High purity single crystals can be used to manufacture semiconductors and silicon carbide fibers.
In addition, green silicon carbide abrasive has strong corrosion resistance to strong acid and alkali, and it can be used to treat corrosive substances such as chemicals.
