Graphite Petroleum Coke (GPC) is a carbonaceous material formed from petroleum coke after high temperature graphitization. It is characterized by high carbon content, low impurities, low sulfur and low ash, and is widely used in metallurgy, foundry and carbon materials.

 

Graphite petroleum coke characteristics


1. High purity: the carbon content of graphite petroleum coke usually exceeds 98%, and most of the impurities (e.g., sulfur, nitrogen, hydrogen) are removed during the graphitization process, obtaining high-purity carbon materials.


2. Low Sulfur, Low Ash: The sulfur and ash content is greatly reduced during the graphitization process, making it suitable for applications with stringent requirements for these impurities.


3. Excellent electrical and thermal conductivity: due to the graphitization process, graphite petroleum coke possesses the electrical and thermal conductivity of graphite materials, allowing it to be used in industrial processes where these properties are required.


4. MECHANICAL STRENGTH AND HEAT RESISTANCE: With high mechanical strength and heat resistance, it can be used stably in high-temperature metallurgical processes.
