Calcined petroleum coke is usually produced in high-temperature rotary kilns that can reach temperatures of 1200-1350°C. This high-temperature process not only removes moisture and volatiles, but also reorganizes the carbon structure of the petroleum coke, making it denser and purer.

1. Aluminum industry: The most important application of calcined petroleum coke is for the production of anode materials in aluminum electrolysis cells. In the aluminum electrolysis process, the anode material requires high electrical conductivity and low sulfur content, and calcined petroleum coke meets this requirement.
2. Steel Industry: Used as a carbon enhancer in steel smelting, calcined petroleum coke can regulate the carbon content in the steel liquid and improve the quality of steel.
3. Graphite Electrode: Calcined petroleum coke is one of the important raw materials for the manufacture of graphite electrodes, which are widely used in electric arc furnace steelmaking and other high-temperature smelting processes.
4. Titanium industry: Calcined petroleum coke is used as a reducing agent in the production of titanium dioxide to help purify titanium dioxide from titanium ore.
5. Battery industry: As a source of carbonaceous material, calcined petroleum coke is sometimes used in battery products such as lithium batteries to provide electrical conductivity and structural support.
