High Level Material Ferro Vanadium 40

Using calcium vanadate as raw material, calcium vanadate powder is melted into the sheet, and the ferrovanadium 40 is smelted by thermite method to obtain qualified ferrovanadium products. The smelting process of calcium vanadate to ferrovanadate is stable and controllable, with a recovery rate of more than 97%, and because calcium vanadate does not produce refractory high ammonia nitrogen wastewater, it has great environmental protection advantages compared with the traditional production route of vanadium oxide-ferrovanadium.

1.Smelting characteristics of mixed vanadium oxide thermite reaction in one-step and two-step ferrovanadium 40 smelting process in tilting furnace. The effects of different vanadium oxide ratios and different aluminum matching coefficients on vanadium loss in slag and single-furnace smelting efficiency were investigated. When the ratio of raw materials (tank ratio) is increased from 0:8 to 6:2, the vanadium content in the slag decreases from 2.23% to 1.85%, the amount of single slag decreases by 19.7%, and the smelting time of single furnace increases from 180 min to 194 min. In the two-step smelting process, with the increase of the aluminum blending coefficient to 1.20, the vanadium content of the lean slag decreased from 1.85% to 0.44% of the one-step ferrovanadium smelting, and the average vanadium content in the slag decreased to 0.88%. The slag leaning time was reduced from 194 min to 146 min, the refining time was increased from 0 to 94 min, and the single-furnace smelting cycle was extended by 46 min compared with the one-step method. Under the optimal test conditions, the vanadium content in the alloy products is increased to 51.6%, and the aluminum content is reduced to less than 0.3%, which not only improves the alloy quality, but also improves the utilization rate of aluminum.
