In the field of ceramics, silicon nitride for ceramics is mainly used to manufacture high-performance silicon nitride ceramic structural components, silicon nitride ceramic balls, and silicon nitride targets. Silicon nitride ceramic balls have high hardness, high wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, light weight, high machining accuracy, self-lubrication, and good insulation properties, making them the preferred material for ceramic bearings and hybrid ceramic ball bearings.

 

In the photovoltaic industry, photovoltaic-grade silicon nitride has a purity of over 99.99%, which can be used as a coating (release agent) for crucibles in polycrystalline silicon casting and in high-performance nitride phosphors.

In the metallurgical industry, it is made into components for thermal equipment such as crucibles, muffle furnace chambers, burners, heating element fixtures, molds, aluminum liquid guide tubes, thermocouple temperature measurement protective sleeves, and inner linings of aluminum electrolytic cells.

 

In the machinery industry, it is made into high-speed cutting tools, bearings, supports for metal component heat treatment, rotor engine scrapers, guide vanes, and turbine blades for gas turbines. Silicon nitride has a low friction coefficient, suitable for high-temperature bearings, with operating temperatures up to 1200°C, which is 5 times higher than that of ordinary alloy bearings, and the operating speed is 10 times faster.

 

In the chemical industry, it is made into components such as ball valves, pump bodies, sealing rings, filters, heat exchanger parts, fixed catalyst carriers, combustion boats, and evaporating dishes. In the semiconductor, aerospace, and nuclear industries, in the semiconductor industry, due to its insulating and heat-resistant properties, it is often used as packaging and insulation layers for semiconductor materials.
