Products Description
Silicon slag is a water containing mixture obtained from zircon sand after alkali melting, acid leaching, and water dissolution. It is a colloidal polymer with high water content. Its appearance is light yellow green, sponge like, with strong adsorption and complex structure.
The main components are silicic acid and water, which are acidic after water immersion, with a pH<1 and a solid content of about 20%. Due to the chemical reactions that occur during the production process, there are also silicic acid products such as meta silicic acid, ortho silicic acid, di meta silicic acid, and tri ortho silicic acid in the silicon slag, as well as sodium silicate, unreacted zirconium sand, and zirconium oxychloride, whose structures are not yet clear.

use of Products
1. Refining and casting pig iron and silicon manganese alloys. Silicon slag can increase furnace temperature, increase the fluidity of molten iron, achieve high-quality slag discharge, and increase the grade.
2. Deoxidizer. Silicon slag can reduce costs and increase profits, and its silicon content can also be used to purify industrial silicon.
3.Steel slag recycling. Silicon slag can be used for steel slag recycling of pig iron or steel, improving the yield of steelmaking and reducing waste.
4. Desulfurization. Silicon slag contains a large amount of alkaline oxides, which can react with sulfur dioxide to form sulfates for flue gas desulfurization.
5. Cement and glass manufacturing. Silicon slag can be used as an additive in cement clinker, promoting the hydration reaction of cement clinker, enhancing the early strength and long-term performance of cement; It can also be used as an important raw material for glass manufacturing, reducing production costs, improving the quality and weathering resistance of glass.
6. Refractory materials. After mixing silicon slag with materials such as alumina, calcium oxide, and magnesium oxide, high-performance refractory ceramic materials can be prepared.
7. Building materials manufacturing. Silicon slag can also be used to manufacture building materials such as building bricks, soundproof panels, and insulation materials.
8. Other uses. Silicon slag can also be used to manufacture products such as graphite electrodes, iron oxide pigments, and electrical insulation materials.
