Formula of ferrosilicon coating
The formula of ferrosilicon coating can be adjusted according to different needs. The following is a basic formula:
1. Aggregate: hard materials such as silicon carbide and silicon nitride are used to improve the hardness and wear resistance of the coating.
2. Binder: silicate materials such as sodium silicate and potassium silicate are used to bond aggregates together and improve the strength and density of the coating.
3. Additives: such as toughening agents, preservatives, pigments, etc., used to improve the performance and appearance of the coating.
When preparing ferrosilicon coating, it is necessary to mix the aggregate, binder and additives in a certain proportion, and then process and cure them to obtain a coating with the required properties. In addition, the thickness of the ferrosilicon coating also needs to be determined according to the specific situation. In the lining construction of the ferrosilicon ladle, the permanent layer of castables is usually constructed first, and then the carbonized coating material of the working layer is applied. The thickness of the coating is generally 50mm at the bottom of the ladle lining and 30mm at the top. It can be applied multiple times as needed.
