The products deoxidized with titanium are easy to float.
Deoxidizing killed steel with titanium can reduce segregation in the upper part of the steel ingot, thereby improving the quality of the steel ingot and increasing the yield of the steel ingot. Titanium combines with nitrogen dissolved in molten steel to form a stable titanium nitride that is insoluble in molten steel. With the improvement of steel quality and the increase of varieties, the requirements for the quality and varieties of ferrotitanium are getting higher and higher. The international market has a large demand for high-titanium ferro-titanium with high titanium content, but my country's current ferroalloy factories generally only produce ordinary medium and low-titanium ferro-titanium. For high titanium iron with w(Ti) = 65%~75% and w(Al) ≤4%, few manufacturers officially produce it.
