Metallurgical Product Description
Ferrovanadium can be divided into high ferrovanadium and low ferrovanadium according to the vanadium content. It is an important vanadium-containing alloy product and the C, S, and P content are strictly limited.
Generally speaking, the vanadium content in ferrovanadium is more than 40%. The melting point of the material is 1480°C, the solid density is 7.0t/m3, the bulk density is 3.3~3.9t/m3, and the block size used is <200.
silicon thermal method of processing
Flake vanadium pentoxide uses 75% ferrosilicon and a small amount of aluminum as a reducing agent, and is refined in an alkaline electric arc furnace through two stages of reduction and refining to obtain qualified products. During the reduction period, all the reducing agents in one furnace and 60-70% of the total flaky vanadium pentoxide are put into the electric furnace, and silicon thermal reduction is carried out under high calcium oxide slag. When the V2O5 in the slag is less than 0.35%, the slag is released (called lean slag, which can be discarded or used as building materials) and enters the refining period. At this time, flake vanadium pentoxide and lime are added to remove excess silicon, aluminum, etc. in the alloy liquid. When the alloy composition meets the requirements, the slag and ferrous alloy can be excavated.

application of the Product
In ordinary low-alloy steel, vanadium mainly refines the grains, increases the strength of the steel, and inhibits its aging effect; in alloy structural steel, it refines the grains, increases the strength and toughness of the steel, and is used in conjunction with chromium or chromium in elastic steel. Manganese is combined to increase steel's elastic limit and improve its quality. In tool steel, it is necessary to refine the steel's structure and grains, increase the steel's tempering stability, enhance its secondary hardening effect, improve its wear resistance, extend the service life of tools.
