The phosphorus content in the slag of each stage of ferrovanadium smelting is extremely low and the value is basically constant (0.007%~0.008%), so most of the phosphorus in the raw and auxiliary materials and refractory materials of ferrovanadium will enter the ferroalloy. Since the phosphorus in the purchased raw and auxiliary materials and refractory materials cannot be stably controlled, controlling the phosphorus content in vanadium pentoxide is the most effective means to achieve low-phosphorus ferrovanadium.
The smelting time of a single furnace is too long, and a large amount of phosphorus in the refractory material enters the molten iron, resulting in a high phosphorus content in FeV50. In order to reduce the phosphorus in FeV50 to below 0.05%, it is necessary to improve the production process while controlling the raw and auxiliary materials, that is, to reduce the erosion and burning of the refractory material by the material. To reduce the burning of the refractory material, it is necessary to shorten the smelting time of a single furnace and smelt at a low temperature.
