the specification of ferro vanadium
Ferrovanadium is an important alloy additive in the steel industry. Vanadium improves the strength, toughness, ductility, and heat resistance of steel. Since the sixties, the use of vanadium in the steel industry has increased dramatically, and by 1988 it accounted for 85% of vanadium consumption. The proportion of vanadium consumption in steel is 20% carbon steel, 25% high-strength low-alloy steel, 20% alloy steel, and 15% tool steel. Vanadium-containing high-strength low-alloy steel (HSLA) is widely used in the production and construction of oil/gas pipelines, buildings, bridges, rails, pressure vessels, carriage frames, etc. due to its high strength. At present, the application range of various vanadium-containing steels is becoming more and more extensive.
