The main functions of ferroalloys include improving the physical and mechanical properties of steel, facilitating deoxidation and desulphurisation in the steelmaking process, and serving as raw materials for smelting steel.

1. Ferrosilicon (FeSi)
- Composition: An alloy of iron and silicon, usually containing 15-90% silicon.
- Use: Mainly used as a deoxidiser and alloying element additive in steelmaking. In the foundry industry, ferrosilicon is also an important component of inoculants and spheroidising agents.
2. Ferromanganese (FeMn)
- Composition: An alloy of iron and manganese, usually with a manganese content of 60-80%.
- Use: Ferromanganese is used as a deoxidising and desulphurising agent in the steelmaking process, as well as to improve the hardness, toughness and wear resistance of steel. It is widely used in the production of construction steel, tool steel and stainless steel.
3. FeCr
- Composition: An alloy of iron and chromium with a chromium content of 50-70%.
- Use: Mainly used in the production of stainless steel and heat-resistant steel. Ferrochrome increases the corrosion resistance, hardness and strength of steel. 4.
4. Ferro Vanadium (FeV)
- Composition: An alloy of iron and vanadium with a vanadium content generally ranging from 35-85%.
- Use: Ferro Vanadium is used as an alloying additive to significantly improve the strength, toughness and wear resistance of steel, and is widely used in the production of high strength low alloy steels and tool steels.

5. FeTi
- Composition: alloy of iron and titanium, titanium content is usually 20-75%.
- Use: Used as a deoxidiser and desulphuriser in steelmaking, also used in the production of high-strength steel and heat-resistant steel.
6. Ferrous molybdenum (FeMo)
- Composition: Alloy of iron and molybdenum, molybdenum content is generally between 50-75%.
- Use: Ferro Molybdenum is widely used in the production of stainless steels, tool steels and heat resistant steels. The addition of molybdenum improves the steel's wear resistance, hardness and resistance to high temperatures.
7. FeNi
- Composition: An alloy of iron and nickel with a nickel content of 20-90%.
- Use: Mainly used in the production of stainless steel and heat-resistant alloys. Nickel-iron alloys improve the corrosion resistance, heat resistance and strength of steel. 8.

- Composition: Alloy of iron, silicon and manganese.
