Products Description
The production process of ferrosilicon 65 is similar to that of ferrosilicon 75. Both are made of coke (or semi-coke), steel scraps (or iron oxide) and quartz (or silica) as raw materials, and are smelted at high temperature in an electric furnace. After the raw materials are melted and chemically reacted, the silicon element is reduced and combined with iron to form ferrosilicon 65 alloy.

Ferrosilicon 65 is usually in block or granular form, with a grayish white appearance and some bubbles and holes. It has high density and hardness, as well as good electrical and thermal conductivity. In addition, Ferrosilicon 65 also has certain corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance.

Ferrosilicon 65, as an important iron alloy material, has a wide range of applications. Ferrosilicon 65 is a commonly used deoxidizer in the steelmaking process. The chemical affinity between silicon and oxygen is very strong, and it can quickly combine with the oxygen in the molten steel to form stable silica, thereby removing the oxygen in the molten steel and preventing defects such as bubbles and looseness in the steel during the solidification process. Compared with traditional deoxidation methods, the deoxidation effect of ferrosilicon 65 is more significant and can save steelmaking time and labor costs. Ferrosilicon 65 can also be used as an alloying element additive to produce special steels such as low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel and electrical silicon steel. Adding ferrosilicon 65 can significantly increase the strength, hardness and elasticity of steel, and improve the mechanical properties and processing properties of steel.

In cast iron production, ferrosilicon 65 is often used as an inoculant to help refine the graphite morphology in cast iron and make it more evenly distributed. This can significantly increase the strength and hardness of cast iron while improving its machinability and wear resistance. Ferrosilicon 65 can also be used as a nodularizing agent and plays a key role in the production of ductile iron. Adding ferrosilicon 65 can promote the precipitation and spheroidization of graphite to form spherical graphite, thereby significantly improving the mechanical properties and earthquake resistance of cast iron. In the production of ferroalloys, ferrosilicon 65 is often used as a reducing agent to reduce other metal oxides and prepare the required ferroalloys.Ferrosilicon 65 is one of the more commonly used reducing agents due to its low carbon content and high silicon content. Ferrosilicon 65 can also be used to prepare composite materials such as silicides and silicon-aluminum alloys, as well as reducing agents in other chemical industries.
