Description of Ferro titanium alloy
Ferro titanium is an alloy of titanium and iron that can be obtained by melting scrap titanium together with steel or iron in an induction furnace. It has low density, high strength, and excellent corrosion resistance.
The alloy is highly reactive with nitrogen, oxygen, carbon, and sulfur, forming insoluble compounds. In addition to iron and titanium, it also contains aluminum, silicon, carbon, phosphorus, sulfur, manganese, etc. The melting point of ferrotitanium varies depending on its chemical composition.
