Ferrotitanium 30 (also called FeTi30) is a ferrotitanium alloy, in which the content of titanium is roughly between 25.0% and 35.0%. Besides titanium and iron, this alloy may also contain other impurity elements such as aluminum. Ferrotitanium is widely used in many fields, including as deoxidizer, desulfurizer, degasser and additive of alloying elements in steelmaking. In addition, because of its high melting point, high specific gravity and difficult oxidation, ferrotitanium can remain stable in high temperature and high pressure environment, so it has important applications in aerospace, shipbuilding, chemical industry and other fields.
Firstly, ferrotitanium 30 is widely used as deoxidizer, desulfurizer and degasser in steelmaking.
