Ferrotitanium 30 is a ferroalloy, the main components of which are titanium and iron, and also contains a certain amount of impurities such as aluminum, silicon, carbon, sulfur, phosphorus, and manganese. The titanium content is between 25.0% and 35.0%. Other components such as aluminum (Al) content is less than 8.5%, silicon (Si) content is less than 5.0%, and other impurity elements such as carbon (C), sulfur (S), phosphorus (P), and manganese (Mn). According to the different titanium content, ferrotitanium mainly includes three varieties: FeTi30, FeTi40, and FeTi70. Ferro-titanium alloys have specific physical properties such as density and melting point, which vary depending on the alloy composition. The titanium element in ferro-titanium alloys is chemically active and can form stable compounds with elements such as oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, and carbon.
In the steelmaking process, ferrotitanium 30 is used as a deoxidizer, and its deoxidation capacity is significantly higher than that of traditional deoxidizers such as silicon and manganese. Titanium combines with oxygen in the molten steel to form stable oxides, thereby effectively reducing the oxygen content in the steel and improving the quality of the steel. Using ferrotitanium 30 for deoxidation can reduce the segregation phenomenon in the upper part of the steel ingot, improve the internal structure of the steel, and improve the yield and mechanical properties of the steel ingot. Ferrotitanium 30 is added to steel as an alloying element, which can increase the strength, corrosion resistance and stability of steel.
