Electrodes En Graphite Overview
Graphite electrodes are mainly made of petroleum coke and needle coke as raw materials, and coal tar pitch as binder. After calcination, batching, kneading, pressing, baking, graphitization, and machining, Furnace Graphite Electrode are conductors that release electric energy in the form of arcs in electric arc furnaces to heat and melt the charge. According to their quality indexes, they can be divided into ordinary power Graftech Electrodes, high-power graphite electrodes, and ultra-high power Graphite As Electrode.
The main raw material for producing Graphite Is Used As an Electrode is petroleum coke. Ordinary power Graphite Used As an Electrode can be added with a small amount of pitch coke. The sulfur content of petroleum coke and pitch coke should not exceed 0.5%. Needle coke should also be added when producing high-power or ultra-high-power Graphite Used As Electrodes. The main raw material for anodes for aluminum is petroleum coke, and the sulfur content is controlled at no more than 1.5% to 2%. Petroleum coke and pitch coke should meet relevant national quality standards.
