The consumption of chemical silicon in the United States and the EU accounts for more than half of the total consumption of metallic silicon. Chemical silicon is widely used in high-tech fields and important basic industries, and its consumption tends to grow steadily.
Under normal circumstances in the international market, the price per ton of chemical silicon is US$300-400 higher than that of metallurgical silicon. Therefore, whether it is to meet export and domestic demand, or to improve the economic benefits of metal silicon enterprises and improve product quality, it is necessary to vigorously develop the production of chemical silicon.
