What are ferrovanadium and mud iron, and what is their melting point?

Ferrovanadium and ferroniobium are iron alloys containing vanadium and niobium respectively.

The melting point depends on their content, and there is no fixed point. The melting point of ferroniobium is between 1580 and 1630 degrees.

Ferrovanadium: An intermediate alloy of iron and vanadium (iron-vanadium binary alloy) obtained by reduction, with a vanadium content of not less than 35.0% (weight) and not more than 85.0% (weight). Vanadium is a member of the vanadium group in the periodic table. Its atomic number is 23, its atomic weight is 50.942, its melting point is 1887 degrees, its boiling point is 3337 degrees, and its pure vanadium is shiny white, hard, and has a body-centered stereo structure. About 80% of vanadium is used as an alloying element in steel together with iron. Vanadium-containing steel is very hard and solid, but generally its vanadium content is less than 1%.
