The main component of molybdenum electrodes is molybdenum. It has the characteristics of high high temperature strength, good high temperature oxidation resistance and long service life.

Due to these advantages, it is usually used in daily glass, optical glass, insulation materials, fiberglass, rare earth industry and other fields.

There are currently two methods for producing molybdenum electrodes, namely smelting and powder metallurgy.

The molybdenum electrode produced by the smelting method has high purity and low gas content such as N and O, which can reach a level below 10 ppm. However, the production cost is high and it is only suitable for special occasions.

The cost of molybdenum electrodes prepared by powder metallurgy is low, but the C and O content in the product is too high and cannot meet the requirements of the glass fiber industry.
