What should be done when maintaining graphite products?
The main uses of graphite are wide, including insulation bricks, tongs, continuous casting powder, mold cores, molds, detergents and corrosion-resistant materials. Because graphite products have many excellent properties, they are widely used in metallurgical industry, machinery, electrical equipment, chemical industry, textiles, national defense and other industrial sectors.
The following aspects should be ensured during the maintenance of graphite products:
1. Prevent strong erosion of the side and bottom of the graphite product by direct injection of flames;
2. During the use process, turn the graphite product once a week to increase the service life of the graphite product;
3. The use of appropriate combustion aids and preservatives will reduce the service life of the graphite product;
4. A proper distance should be maintained between the graphite product and the furnace wall, and the graphite product should be placed in the center of the furnace;
5. When removing the furnace slag and sticky coke on the surface of the graphite product, tap it gently to prevent damage to the graphite product;
6. Handle with care during transportation, and do not drop or shake;
7. Graphite products must be kept away from moisture, and must be placed in a dry place or on a wooden shelf during storage;
8. The specifications and models of graphite products are the volume of copper;
9. Before use, they must be hot-baked in a drying device or furnace, and the temperature must be slowly raised to 500℃;
